Nahomie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California, since May 2010, with 6 years experience in the mental health field. Prior to licensure, Nahomie served on staff at various social services agencies as a therapist where she provided psychotherapy and case management support services to children, adolescents, adults/elders, and families with various mental health concerns, including substance abuse issues.

Nahomie is a Certified Life Coach and received her training from the Life Coach Institute. Nahomie has a Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communication Arts with emphasis in Theatre and in Psychology with a concentration in Christian Behavioral Sciences from California Baptist University. Nahomie holds a Master’s of Science in Counseling Psychology. Additionally, Nahomie has a Master of Arts degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in International Business from Argosy University.  Nahomie is certified in Prayer Therapy as well as been trained in other faith-based inner healing techniques including Sozo ministry, and prayer ministry. She served at the International House of Prayer Mission Base in Kansas City as an intern and then as an intercessory missionary over a 6 months period in 2008-2009. Nahomie currently resides in Southern California and attends one of the local churches.
 
Nahomie is a native Haitian and has a heart, not only to reach the hurt and broken in the USA, but also those in Haiti and other nations. Nahomie loves people, likes to laugh, and enjoys reading, watching movies, and hiking. She also loves dancing, singing, eating authentic ethnic food from around the globe, and loves to travel.

Our Theoretical Orientation

Our basic foundation and worldview is a Biblical Perspective. We utilize mainstream psychological theories and models in alignment with biblical Truth. When, and if, there is a conflict between psychological theories and biblical Truth, we lean towards biblical Truth. We utilize the following models and theories with our clients, depending on their needs, and where they are in their journey towards wholeness: Behavioral and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Focus Couple Therapy, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Family Systems Theories, Object Relations, Solution Focus Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, and Prayer Therapy. We also utilize strictly the Bible to assist our clients that are not open to the use of mainstream psychological theories/models. 
 
We stand on the Christian faith and Biblical principles in regards to social diversity issues such as abortions, sexual orientation issues, human trafficking, genocide, etc. We believe in absolute truth, mercy, and justice. We make a distinction between God's view of justice, His righteous judgment against sin and wickedness, and man's attempts to right their wrong or other's wrong against them through their own means, be it through teaching of tolerance, peace devoid of God, hatred, or violence. Our Christian faith dictate that we do not compromise biblical values in the face of societal norms or popularity, nor do we turn away from a neighbor in need. We operate within the reality that God loves all of humanity and desire for mankind to experience His love, goodness, and justice. Therefore we do not discriminate and/or refuse services to anyone who may seek help from us.  If we assessed that someone will not benefit from our services, we will provide the person with  appropriate referrals where his/her need(s) might best be met.
